"Coming Home"....

a plexi-art work I consider one of my best in the last several years, just sold at the Salt Spring Gallery!

Heal These Broken Wings...

or, H.T.B.W. work continues.... I likely won't get time to work on this again until next week, but when I come back to it I will be concentrating on the centre of the picture, and the very top. These images were taken when the bottom art "pour" was still wet.

2nd and 3rd layers...

working on pressboard is quite different than plexiglas. For one, drying is generally quicker. Here I show my 3rd layer of varnish on the big "blob" and have also embedded 2 moth wings. The upper "bloblets", have their first acrylic copper drops added. When the bloblets dry, theyget another thin layer of varnish. This final image shows my first "pour" for the upper section.

Just re-started....

working on a piece I began in 2014 but did not have the time/inspiration to finish. For a while now I've been calling it the pancake, but really it looks more like a blob of maple syrup or melted butter. A few days ago I came to a design idea I felt i could really work with (which is on a piece of paper beside "the blob" on one of my images here. I know, it doesn't look like anything, but just wait and see.... this is the beginning of "Heal These Broken Wings" or H.T.B.W.
