"Wonder" is now housed in its new suspended "clip frame" system. These beautiful brushed stainless steel clips are mounted along a narrow kiln dried hand ebonized piece of oak.
Newest Work
My latest Plexiglas artwork is called "Wonder". It is 2'X4', two sided art piece. Presently framed temporarily in one of my slot-rail frames. I am waiting for new hardware to show up (next week?) so I can replace it with a simpler frame which I will re-post next week when that gets done. This new work is presently on display and for sale at The Salt Spring Gallery, now celebrating it's 7th business anniversary with the "Lucky No. 7" show.
SOLD!
3 of my works sold today at The Salt Spring Gallery! Soon they will be off to the East Coast of the USA. Thank you American Art lovers!
Evolution of an Evolution
When I began this plexi-art piece, I had a specific frame in mind for it, that frame required it to be a vertical. But now that I am getting closer to it's completion, I have decided that it only makes sense to me for it to be horizontal. So I will have to rethink how I am going to frame this. Likely a slot rail header and footer that will allow it to be hung in a window, away from a wall, or anywhere.
I usually don't have trouble naming pieces either, but this one is stumping me a bit. I am thinking "Wonder" or perhaps even "Until we meet again my friend"
And here is the reverse side.
