My tables are getting closer but you'll have to wait to see the art inlay! Today was a little frustrating as I decided that I needed to do more EBONIZING! But I won't bore you to death anymore with those pics. We did get quite wrapped up in working on routing the support edge the Plexiglas and protective glass inlay. The routing was quite straight forward, but one of the Alder slabs has a serious dip in the thickness and so I felt it needed a slot cut at the same level of the ledge so a joined piece could be added for support. These pics show that whole process. I spent quite a while doing level sanding of the slabs also, but I didn't think it was worth showing that - wait for when I start applying the Tung Oil Finish! And at the end of the day we did a full mockup with mock up Plexiglas!
