Coming soon, my FIRST "Light box" wall hanging frame system, done in rough cedar using LED lights. I will be using my "Russian Amber" plexi-art piece for this first display system, and will announce here! Should be ready in about 1 week. I can't wait so see this on the walls of the Salt Spring Gallery!!
Two of my Tables in WinterCraft
Hello everyone! I will have 2 of my table-art creations in the WinterCraft show which will run at Mahon Hall, here on Salt Spring Island BC, from November 27 to Dec 21.
This table is made from weathered Salt Spring Cedar, and is 76" long by approx 22" wide and33" high. The artwork is one of my original Plexiglas artworks, protected by 1/4" safety glass. This table could serve as a sideboard, hall or sofa table. On island shipping included. $2500.
The River table is locally milled Salt Spring Alder with a ebonized alter trestle leg system. The entire table will flat pack for shipping purposes. The artwork is is an original Plexiglas work inspired by the river, and contains embedded local botanicals. The table is 53" long by 37 3/4" wide, and 30.5" in height. On island shipping included. $3250.
EVO?LU!ON
I've got a Retrospective show "EVO?LU!ON", coming to Artspring on Salt Spring Island! Myself and Ken Ketchum will be sharing space for a whole month!! Plenty of time to pop by and maybe find that special Christmas gift?
In terms of my work, I will have at least 1 original painting from as early as 1984, (& maybe even a work from 1974 if the re-frame is ready) some of my art photography from 1976-1990, and plexi-art as recent as 2015.
A somewhat quiet summer.....
Sorry for not posting much over the summer. I lost my best friend of over 30 years to pancreatic cancer on the same day my summer show launched. His illness came on completely out of the blue for him and before you could even comprehend what he might be facing, he died on July 31st.
Today is Thanks Giving in Canada, and I do want to thank my many followers and patrons and those who have enjoyed my work. Thank you!
